Installer tries to install zsh if no zsh is detected or if zsh is below 5.2. Currently tries for: * Brew (Mac) * apt-get (Debian/Ubuntu) * dnf (Fedora) * Pacman (Arch) Together these should cover about 99% of Zim users. Also use `return` instead of `exit`, which is a lot nicer to the invoking shell :) |

Zim has many modules! Enable as many or as few as you'd like.
Installation
Installing Zim is very easy. Just run this command:
git clone --recursive -j8 "https://github.com/Eriner/zim.git" "~/.zim" &&\
sh -c "~/.zim/tools/zim_install"
That's all there is to it. Enjoy your Zsh IMproved! Take some time to read about the available modules and personalize your .zshrc
file.
Updating
To update zim, run:
zmanage update
For more information about the zmanage
tool, see the meta module documentation.
Uninstalling
The best way to remove zim is to manually delete ~/.zim
, ~/.zimrc
, and
remove the initialization lines from your ~/.zshrc
.
However, there are some experimental convenience functions to remove zim:
